Have you ever felt like you were searching for “the positive” in a situation? Certain times can be particularly challenging for that.  Photo by Marley Clovelly from Pexels Because so many of us are contemplating that now, here are some great ideas. First, switching gears from the challenging to the positive can be looked at like strengthening a weaker muscle. It takes a little time and a little effort. And, is achievable. How can we do it? I like this visual aid: “just because a bird lands on your head does not mean you need to let it build a nest there.” The idea is that when discouraging thoughts come to mind, don't dwell on them. Move on. Replace this thought with something encouraging. Look for something you are thankful for, remember the good someone recently did, and consider how (even the trying things) have made you the resourceful person you are today. (Excellent discussion at MHA – Stay Positive ) So, everyone breathe and hold on. There is truly so much to bring us joy…even now.
